Our HistoryThe story of CrossRoads, The United Methodist Church in Belton is a long and rich one. From our very beginning in 1871, with that small group of six people bound and determined to establish a place to worship, to today, with a membership of more than 150. The first worship services were held in a storeroom and Sunday school classes met in the railroad depot. As the church grew, so did the need for His word in so many areas of peoples’ lives. A loving church began to grow and reach out to a growing community.
Through the years, this growth has nurtured Sunday school classes of all types for everyone of every age. Women’s groups have been established and remain active as a vital part of our ministry. The music program has brought much pleasure to the church and to the community. The drama group spreads God’s word through portrayals and story. CrossRoads sponsors and provides a meeting place for Boy Scouts, TOPS, and others. There's something for everyone offered here at CrossRoads. Thanks for visiting us! |
